Power Generation Field Service Technician – Level II
Location: Oak Creek, WI (servicing southeastern Wisconsin and Madison as needed).
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business.
Responsibilities
Complete repair activities on generators or components.
Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Perform maintenance and repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
Maintain detailed records of service.
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
Develop and obtain certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
Maintain own tools.
Qualifications
Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
High voltage/low voltage experience.
Basic workshop experience and knowledge of power generation products.
Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
Startup and repair of bypass transfer switches.
Mentor junior technicians and provide technical support and documentation.
Train entry/intermediate technicians.
Vocational diploma or equivalent technical education.
Current electrical certification (e.g., CFE, MUS).
Locally valid driving permit and CDL holder 21+.
3+ years driving experience, 5-year motor vehicle report without major violations.
Pass Department of Transportation physical and comply with DOT driving regulations.
