Overview
Production Supervisor role at Colson Group Holdings LLC. This role will supervise the manufacturing team across all shifts to fulfill the daily responsibilities of metal cutting, forming, stamping, welding, and assembling customer orders. Oversee replenishment of material for production and movement of finished goods into inventory. Lead personnel to accomplish work results, priorities, and monitor/report on progress. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. Report on those activities to management in support of company initiatives, standards, policies, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
Supervise personnel to accomplish positive work results, establish priorities, and monitor progress. Report the results of production activities to management as needed. Ensure all employees work to achieve high productivity while maintaining product quality and safety. Input daily employee paperwork (labor, scrap, SPC) into the labor reporting system. Support company initiatives by adhering to organization standards and policies. Support the creation and sustainment of processes and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and supporting continuous improvement. Use Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to enhance and improve productivity. Support the efforts of other departments through prompt responsiveness to requests and inquiries. Physical Requirements
Occasional coverage for floor employees may require lifting packages up to 40 pounds. May require bending or stooping. Walk long distances repeatedly; stand/walk 8+ hours per day. Employee may be required to climb step stools/small ladders. Knowledge
H.S. Diploma Required Supervision or 2-5 years of equivalent work experience Experience
2-3 years leading teams to accomplish daily production/assembly goals. 2-3 years maintaining quality in a production environment. Experience working with other departments to achieve goals. Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives. 2-3 years in stamping manufacturing. Skills
Ability to provide team leadership, lead problem solving initiatives, and establish team goals. Knowledge of workflow methodologies. Able to organize daily work and track accountability. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Knowledge and ability to use ERP systems such as Epicor. Ability to lead personnel in daily duties by example and to accomplish work results, priorities, and monitor progress. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Strong cross-functional communication skills. Training in material handling equipment. Good work ethic. Senioriy level
