Our Client, a Automotive Manufacturing company, is looking for a Production Supervisor for their Lansing, MI location. Responsibilities

Supervise a medium to large group of employees involved in plant production operations. Provide leadership for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Work is generally of a technical nature with the ability to make decisions within the limits of general standards and practices. Some direct guidance received from supervisor. Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment. Promotes safe work environment with proper housekeeping standards and workplace organization. Conducts safety talks, job instruction training, ergonomic evaluations, and safety incident report & investigation. Provide environment which stimulates team member’s involvement & personal growth by maintaining communications, soliciting suggestions, development training plan, attendance records, performance improvement, standardized work, support team meetings, job rotation, and work with UAW to resolve problems. Understand and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements. Inform management and others outside the work group of developments as they occur. Maintains department records. Maintain awareness of quality standards and processes, communicate department quality goals and leverage resources to solve quality problems. Implements problem solving processes. Liaise with customers for quality problems and co-ordinate countermeasures. Respond to work environment to meet production schedule. Ensure cost control achieves budget needs. Ensure Client is followed. Requirements

GED and High School Diploma. 2 to 3 years of stamping experience is ideal, but 2 to 3 years of manufacturing automotive is required. Computer skills to put together graphs and manage time keeping. Organizational skills (Managing different task). Have the ability to learn and be a sponge. Why Should You Apply?
