The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is an individual contributor role based in Ironton, Ohio, supporting a non‑union manufacturing environment. This position provides hands‑on HR support to both employees and leadership, focusing on recruiting, employee relations, customer service, engagement event planning, administrative tasks, and basic investigations.
Responsibilities
Manage full‑cycle recruiting and onboarding for hourly roles including posting positions, scheduling interviews, and supporting the onboarding process.
Serve as a daily HR contact for employees and supervisors.
Conduct basic investigations such as attendance reviews.
Support performance management and corrective actions.
Maintain an open‑door policy to provide employee‑facing HR support with high responsiveness.
Plan and execute employee engagement events and celebrations.
Maintain HR records, ensure compliance with internal policies and labor regulations, and assist with reporting metrics related to workforce data.
Manage attendance program and coordinate with centers of excellence to do benefits education, leave management and accommodation requests.
Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience with Oracle HCM, Taleo, TCP, Smartsheet, Excel, and Word preferred.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations, safety standards, and production processes preferred.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Frequent walking and standing in an office and a manufacturing environment.
Extended periods of sitting or standing at a computer.
Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels while on the production floor.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols while on the production floor.
Work conducted in both office and production floor settings.
Time Travel Required
