Overview of Responsibilities:
Member Service Representative: Process loan applications, open new memberships, open IRAs, set up automated services, and support Call Center as needed. Explain membership options and eligibility requirements, ensuring all paperwork, documentation, and signatures are completed accurately.
Teller: Follow MSGCU’s service standards to accurately complete teller transactions, balance drawer, and checks at the end of day. Manage cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, making member payments, processing certificate of deposit transactions, and member account maintenance.
Relationships: Exceed member service expectations and build trusting relationships by serving as the financial expert, showing sincere interest in the member’s financial success, and using “Creating Member Loyalty” skills to handle complaints and resolve issues.
Cross‑Selling: Use a consultative approach, asking high‑impact questions to identify member needs, and provide in‑depth knowledge of MSGCU products to cross‑sell Credit Life, Credit Disability, and GAP. Generate new business by asking for referrals.

Education And Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
6 months of teller experience in a financial institution or as a retail sales representative/cashier.
Either 2 years of retail sales experience, an associate degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or Finance, or 1 year of member/customer‑facing experience within financial services.
Working Conditions
Office and branch location environment with minimal noise or temperature discomfort.
Occasional travel throughout MSGCU’s service area to support other branches as needed.
Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions such as robbery; detailed procedures provided annually.
Work involves sitting most of the time with brief walking or standing; may occasionally require lifting up to 10 pounds.
Compensation And Benefits Competitive salaries are just the starting point for our team members. We also provide generous vacation time, retirement plan contributions, discounts on loans, and phone service.
Base hourly pay begins at $18.65/hour.
Team members can earn incentives as part of our variable compensation plan.
At least 21 years old: 3% contribution from MSGCU and 100% match for the next 7% contributed to your 401(k).
12 paid holidays and up to 60 hours of PTO in the first year of service (pro‑rated based on start date).
