Description The Department of Revenue for St. Louis County Government is searching for an
Office Services Coordinator
to join their team. This position will perform office support and coordination for the Revenue team, for day‑to‑day operations as well as project support. The role is responsible for performing duties associated with quality control and ensuring work accuracy of a defined unit.
Typical starting salary range is between $18.07 and $21.68 hourly, depending on qualifications, experience, and budget. Competitive benefits and generous PTO are also offered.
Examples of Duties
Perform complex administrative and clerical tasks related to the operation of a defined unit and the final production of work.
Coordinate the work activities of a defined unit.
Provide guidance, training, and review work for accuracy.
Gather data to verify the accuracy of information and identify complex or unusual problems.
Analyze individual problems and take appropriate action to provide resolutions.
Interpret, explain, and apply County Department standards, policies, and procedures.
Marginal Function Examples
May have independent assignments not associated with others’ work.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Equivalent to four years of professional work experience in a general office environment.
Possess a current, valid driver’s license.
The work rules require all employees, whether they reside in St. Louis County or elsewhere, to remain current in the payment of their personal and real property taxes.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following experience:
Public sector
IT support for a general office environment
Effective communication skills across work groups and departments
Benefits St. Louis County offers paid medical insurance, 20 days of PTO in the first year with increases over seniority, 11‑12 paid holidays, and a retirement plan with 4% contribution and vesting after 7 years. Additional benefits include paid life insurance, credit union, 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, pre‑tax premium pay plan, dependent care and medical expense reimbursement plans, and short and long term disability insurance.
As of January 1, 2023, up to 480 hours of paid parental leave are approved for eligible employees welcoming new children, either by birth or adoption. Up to 80 hours for prenatal care and up to 80 hours for child care within the first year are also available.
Selection and Appointment Applicants will be evaluated by a selection committee based on qualifications, supplemental questions, employment references, and other relevant information. Candidates must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible. The top five candidates will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority for the final decision. Conditional offerees must submit to a urinalysis for illegal drug screening before appointment; the cost is covered by the County.
