Description Educate the public on program goals and collaborate with external agencies to deliver services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a strategy to provide public outreach and inform the public of available services.
Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies and community organizations to inform, educate, and familiarize citizens with County programs and events.
Design marketing materials, plan publicity and develop public information programs to promote understanding of and support for the program.
Develop, promote and implement events and activities.
Identify underserved citizenry and develop relationships to provide services.
Qualifications
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related experience.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Some positions may require one or more of the following certifications or licensure:
Registration as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care or similar certifying body.
Certification as a Diabetes Educator by the American Diabetes Association or similar certifying body.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Missouri.
Licensure as a Registered Dietitian by the State of Missouri.
Selection and Appointment
A selection committee evaluates qualifications; interview process requires a 70% qualifying grade.
Only the top five candidates receive appointment offers.
Urinalysis screening is required for conditional merit appointments.
COVID-19 Vaccination Policy All newly hired employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, in compliance with CMS Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Rule.
Exemptions may be requested for medical or religious reasons, requiring wearing face coverings and weekly testing.
