Summary of Position The General Manager is accountable for restaurant management and operations, ensuring team members are hospitality‑focused, people‑focused, and meet expectations across all job duties. The GM reports to the District Manager and supervises Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members, operating consistently with the business plan and Capstone values.
Responsibilities
Recruit and hire staff, maintaining a bench for future growth.
Execute marketing plans, ensuring proper installation of POP and menu board elements.
Ensure the restaurant is properly staffed and team members are trained through effective training programs.
Keep the restaurant open and fully operational during business hours as defined by the District Manager, Regional Director of Operations, and Operating Partner.
Create excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude, and commitment to company objectives.
Maintain correct inventory levels and equipment condition through approved vendors.
Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of all phases of restaurant operations and technology.
Supervise in accordance with established performance and operating policies per the operations standards manual.
Develop, motivate, and work with Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members to perform at their highest potential.
Review preliminary P&Ls and forward questions to the District Manager.
Adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies to provide a safe and compliant environment.
Qualifications
3‑5 years management experience in a quick‑service/fast‑food dining concept.
Financial and analytical aptitude: planning, budgeting, scheduling, and P&L management.
Competencies
Valid driver's license.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts to ensure all essential duties are completed.
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
Strong decision‑making under pressure, while delegating tasks appropriately.
Strong conflict resolution skills.
High sense of urgency.
Self‑motivated.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods.
Work around high temperatures.
Work around others in close quarters.
Able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
Work with various cleaning products.
Perform job at a continuous high pace, under pressure, while maintaining quality and speed standards.
Pay Range USD $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year.
