Staff Accountant
Position Overview:
International organization is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join their Nashville team. This role is vital for maintaining accurate financial records, processing workflows, and supporting various business departments and group companies. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger, assist with audits, and contribute to financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain detailed and accurate General Ledgers for multiple business departments.
Post accrual journal entries and ensure proper reversal of accruals.
Audit accounting entries to identify and address discrepancies or unusual occurrences, documenting resolutions.
Provide guidance to business departments on reporting requirements and procedures.
Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual Balance Sheet statements.
Assist independent auditors by researching and supplying transaction documentation as needed.
Participate in special projects and initiatives assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (highly preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience or equivalent training.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; including VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP.
Familiarity with Dayforce, Power BI, Power Apps is a plus.
Ability to adapt to a cross-cultural work environment.
