Junior Estimator
to join our Los Angeles, CA office.

We have experience on virtually every building type or unusual site condition across the United States and abroad, with notable projects including the Purple Line extension in Los Angeles, the SR 99 Viaduct tunnel in Seattle, MGM Grand and City Center in Las Vegas, Third Street Light Rail in San Francisco, Minute Maid Park in Houston, and multiple airport expansions and data center projects.
Description Fisk Electric is looking for a Junior Estimator that would primarily be tasked with providing quantity takeoffs, obtaining quotes and proposals, and data entry in estimating software. This position would receive direction from and work closely with Estimators and Project Managers. The training/experience gained through this position provides advancement to the title of Estimator.
Responsibilities
Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform takeoffs accurately
Perform plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates
Stay apprised of industry standard software, including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process
Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoffs
Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance
Special projects as necessary
Assist with other estimating duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree desired (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field); High School Diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in construction industry preferred
