Process Engineer We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves overseeing waste testing and separation processes, where you will test waste materials that need separation from liquids and solids. You will collect samples, perform lab tests using a tabletop centrifuge, and adjust variables such as centrifuge speed and polymer addition to optimize separation. Results will be compiled into reports and reviewed by customers. Additionally, you will conduct pilot testing at customer sites using mobile centrifuge units. This role is integral in transforming customer needs into sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

Conduct waste testing and separation processes to meet specific customer requirements.

Collect samples and perform lab tests using a tabletop centrifuge.

Adjust centrifuge speed and add polymers to optimize waste separation.

Compile and report test results to customers and sales team.

Perform pilot testing at customer sites using mobile centrifuge units.

Travel domestically 50-75% of the time to conduct on-site testing and liaise with customers.

Ensure processes align with technical specifications and customer needs.

Collaborate with sales team to finalize opportunities based on test results.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Agricultural/Biological Systems, Chemical, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in process engineering or a similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Proficiency in process optimization, continuous improvement, and project management.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Hands‑on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.

Strong team collaboration and leadership skills.

In‑depth understanding of process engineering principles and practices.

Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Recent graduates with relevant qualifications will be considered.

Experience in wastewater management is advantageous.

Mechanically inclined with a keen interest in continuous improvement.

Work Environment The role requires flexibility with work hours, especially when extensive travel or consecutive workdays occur. You will have flexibility in start and end times, as long as you complete your 40‑hour work week. The work environment promotes continuous learning and improvement within a supportive team, with opportunities for professional growth. Dress code is business casual, and travel within the U.S. is a significant component of the role.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
