Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to recommend and implement improvements to design processes, methods and controls. This role involves quoting for new product RFQ's, planning and establishing engineering schedules, and coordinating manufacturing launches for new or revised products. The successful candidate will design, develop, test and source various tools, machinery and equipment, perform product/process analysis for cost reduction and quality improvement, and approve process specification and design standards.
Responsibilities
Recommend and implement improvements to design processes, methods and controls.
Provide quotations for new product RFQ's.
Plan and establish engineering schedules and follow up on performance against estimates.
Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products.
Design, develop, test and source various tools, machinery and equipment.
Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction and quality improvement.
Establish goals, train team members and evaluate results for new or revised product launches.
Take a project from concept to production.
Approve process specification and design standards.
Create and edit CNC programs.
Make timely and informed decisions that consider the facts, goals, constraints and risks.
Essential Skills
5 years' experience in CNC machining, programming and a solid understanding of machining methods.
Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
Three or more years of engineering experience in a fast‑paced, continuous-improvement, production environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Epicor.
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, work‑holding design and inspection methods.
Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and CAM Simulation Software.
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Lean Manufacturing certification.
Work Environment The work environment is a non‑climate controlled warehouse.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Daytona Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.
