Maintenance Supervisor – Infinite Care Consulting Services
Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center is a 576-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in the heart of Staten Island. We are committed to serving the residents of Staten Island through high quality, affordable, and accessible health services.
We are located at 25 Fanning St, Staten Island, NY 10314.
Pay Base pay range: $32.00/hr – $35.00/hr.
Job Summary The primary purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor is to supervise the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, and as directed by the Administrator. Assurance that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner is a top priority. As the maintenance Supervisor, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out your assigned duties.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect and repair HVAC equipment (cooling units, heating units, hot water systems, ventilation equipment, and other standard equipment).
Repair and install drywall including mudding, taping, and sanding.
Paint walls.
Perform minor plumbing repairs, including replacing toilets, lavatories, sinks, and faulty gate and ball valves.
Shovel snow and scatter ice melts to ensure safe passage for residents, public, and other employees.
Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing faulty outlets, switches, and other electrical apparatus.
Assist in setting maintenance standards and establishing a preventative maintenance program.
Establish hazardous materials programs and a Tag Out, Lock Out program.
Perform general rough and finish carpentry and concrete work.
Perform general landscaping and yard work including mowing and cleanup.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Two years’ experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to relay information concerning a resident’s condition.
Ability not to pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
