Position Summary The Human Resource Generalist at TRDI is a key contributor to the organization’s mission to "Create and Enhance Life Opportunities for People with Barriers & Disabilities" and its core values of Integrity, Innovation, Compassion, Communication, and Courage.

The role supports the Enterprise Operating System (EOS) and the business plan, establishes relationships with federal, state, local governments, universities, and private sector partners, and collaborates internally and externally to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

Implement active recruiting strategies and consistently fill open positions in a timely manner.

Administer and maintain the HRIS system (UKG), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.

Ensure HR practices comply with legal regulations and generate reports and analytics from HRIS systems.

Support union negotiations and Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Manage onboarding, off‑boarding, and employee record updates within HRIS.

Collaborate with hiring managers to identify required skills and competencies.

Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

Implement new‑hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

Maintain all employee records and files, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Administer and execute human resource programs including leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, morale, and productivity initiatives.

Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, guiding management as needed.

Provide high‑quality customer service and promote employee satisfaction.

Build relationships with social service agencies serving people with disabilities and participate in related job fairs.

Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes using HRIS features and best practices.

Perform other duties as directed by HR management.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommend best practices.

Stay current with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Education, Skills, Experience

3–5 years of proven experience as a Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field (preferred).

Thorough understanding of benefit plans (retirement, health & dental insurance, etc.) and relevant regulations.

Knowledge of ACA, FMLA, ADA, I‑9, and other related regulations.

Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., UltiPro, UKG).

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong data recording, analysis, and organizational skills.

Employment Information Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
