The HRIS Benefits Generalist & Benefit is responsible for the daily management, maintenance, and optimization of the UKG Pro (UltiPro) system and related HR modules. This role ensures accurate team member data, supports system users, develops reports and dashboards, and assists in the administration of benefit programs including health, welfare, and retirement. Partners with Payroll, IT, and HR leadership to enhance automation, ensure data integrity, and improve team member experience across the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update employee master data in UKG Pro (Core HR), ensuring accuracy and data integrity across all modules.
Serve as a primary support resource for UKG system issues, troubleshooting, and navigation questions.
Create, schedule, and distribute HR and operational reports using UKG Business Intelligence (BI), including ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
Manage and support workflows within UKG (onboarding, job changes, manager self-service, and employee self-service).
Assist with UKG module configuration, testing, document templates, and table maintenance.
Support ongoing optimization of modules such as:
UKG Recruiting & Onboarding
UKG Pro Benefits Administration
UKG Time & Attendance / Dimensions
Performance & Compensation Management
Perform regular data audits, identify discrepancies, and work with HR or Payroll to resolve issues.
Collaborate with UKG Support and internal IT to troubleshoot system errors and improve functionality.
Assist with system upgrades, release management, and regression testing.
Administration of team member benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and retirement plans.
Process enrollments, eligibility updates, and life event changes in UKG Pro Benefits Administration and carrier systems.
Support Open Enrollment including building/testing plans, verifying rates and eligibility rules, and generating communications.
Conduct benefits audits; including payroll deductions, carrier invoice reconciliation, and eligibility file validations.
Respond to team member benefit questions and provide guidance on coverage, eligibility, and policies.
Maintain document libraries, workflows, and custom fields within UKG.
Support ACA reporting (1095/1094), year-end processing, EEO reporting, and other compliance tasks.
Assist with process improvements to maximize automation and system efficiency.
Provide cross‑functional support to Payroll, Recruiting, and HR operations.
Participate in HR/IT projects, audits, and HR technology initiatives.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
2–4 years of HRIS experience with UKG Pro (UltiPro) required.
2–4 years of benefits administration required.
Experience in casino, hospitality, or Tribal operations is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong working knowledge of UKG Pro, including BI reporting, workflows, and module administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v‑lookups, formulas).
Understanding of benefits administration processes and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data validation skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
Compliance Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Tribal policies.
