Job Description / Responsibilities
Provision and manage Oracle database instances on AWS/Linux
Set up replication and high availability for Oracle databases using tools like Golden Gate
Monitor Oracle database performance and troubleshoot Oracle database problems
Perform backups and restores of Oracle databases
Work with application developers to identify and refine data requirements, table/database design, assist in SQL writing
Requirements
Demonstrable skills in designing schema, access patterns, locking strategy, and tuning Oracle Databases in an enterprise environment
Modifying the database structure, creation, and update to existing database objects per application needs
Experience in configuring, monitoring, and cache management for Oracle database servers
Must have experience in implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS/Linux platform
Strong experience in allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
Understanding of Exadata's hardware and software components, including storage cells, InfiniBand networking, and Smart Scan technology
Experience authoring code in SQL, PL/SQL
Proficiency in one or more shell scripting languages
