Position Overview
WorkFit Medical, PLLC is seeking a full-time Radiology Technician to join our growing occupational health practice in the Rochester area. This position is ideal for a patient-focused, team-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient environment and is open to supporting clinical operations beyond imaging.
This role offers a consistent weekday schedule, excellent work-life balance, and the opportunity to expand clinical skills within occupational health.
Schedule Monday through Friday Primary hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Flexibility available with days and times No nights, weekends, or holidays
Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with provider orders and established protocols Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures Maintain compliance with all radiation safety standards and regulations Accurately document procedures in the electronic medical record Assist with medical assistant duties as needed, including: Rooming patients Taking and recording vital signs Preparing patients for examinations Perform basic ancillary services, including: Drug and alcohol screenings Pulmonary function testing (PFTs) Maintain imaging equipment and clinical areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license ARRT certification preferred Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain Comfortable performing or learning basic medical assistant duties Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Occupational health or outpatient clinic experience preferred but not required
Preferred Skills (Bonus) Phlebotomy experience is a plus Phlebotomy bonus available for qualified candidates
Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay range:
