If you believe great medicine starts with high standards, time to think, and real relationships with clients, our partners’ hospital in Portland may be exactly what you’re looking for. This AAHA-accredited practice is firmly embedded in its neighborhood and treats patients like family, from first puppy visits through thoughtful senior-care decisions. The pace here is intentional, the medicine is thorough, and quality is never compromised for volume.

As Lead Veterinarian, you’ll practice alongside a close-knit team of

four experienced DVMs , while also shaping how medicine is delivered across the hospital. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys mentoring, setting clinical direction, and being a steady, supportive presence for other doctors. Cases range from preventative care through advanced diagnostics and procedures, giving you plenty of opportunity to stay clinically sharp while guiding others to do the same.

This is a hospital that genuinely lives its standards - nearly

900 AAHA benchmarks

- and it shows in how cases are worked up, how clients are educated, and how consistently the team operates. You’ll have real influence here: helping refine protocols, leading doctor discussions, and partnering with management to ensure the hospital continues to grow without losing what makes it special. If you care about continuity of care, long-term patient relationships, and leaving a positive imprint on both medicine and people, this role deserves your attention.

Outside of work, Portland delivers exactly what you’d expect, walkable neighborhoods, great food and coffee, green spaces, and easy access to everything that makes the Pacific Northwest such an appealing place to live and lead.
