Clover Consulting has a direct client in Grand Rapids, MI in need of an entry-level Lab Tech for Microbiology Media Preparation.
This is an on-site, 6‑month contract with the potential for extensions or permanent hire.
Contract W2 – Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis. We cannot accept candidates requiring sponsorship or those from C2C vendors.
Duration 6 months with possible multi‑year extensions or hire.
Location Grand Rapids, MI; considering local candidates only.
Position Overview This is an entry‑level position for a Microbiology Lab Technician, which operates under the Quality Control Unit. In this role you will make a variety of microbiological media in support of the day‑to‑day micro QC testing of raw materials, finished consumer goods, and/or environmental samples.
This first shift position works in the Microbiology Laboratory. In addition to media preparation you will also receive training in autoclave use and media quality control. Daily additional duties may include cleaning, record keeping, and calibration of equipment. Once trained, occasional weekend work may be required.

Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs/test methods
Education: High School Diploma, and/or 2 years of college in a science‑related field, and a desire to work in a microbiology laboratory.
