Talent Engagement Lead @ AD Energy - Global RNG/Biogas Recruitment Specialist

Mechanical Maintenance & Operations About the Opportunity A leading Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) developer and owner-operator is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support operations at a high-performing anaerobic digestion and RNG upgrading facility in Peru, New York. This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of mechanical systems critical to biogas production and RNG upgrading. The position offers long-term stability, exposure to advanced process equipment, and the opportunity to build a career within the fast-growing RNG sector. The Role The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance across all mechanical assets at the facility. Working closely with Operations, Electrical/Instrumentation, and Engineering teams, this role is essential to maintaining plant uptime, safety, and performance. This position is well suited to candidates with backgrounds in RNG, biogas, wastewater treatment, industrial processing, oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating and static equipment including pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, agitators, and gearboxes. Maintain valves, piping systems, flanges, and mechanical seals. Troubleshoot mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes. Conduct equipment inspections, lubrication, alignments, and component replacements. Support day-to-day plant operations to ensure safe and reliable RNG production. Respond to mechanical alarms, breakdowns, and emergency call-outs as required. Assist during plant start-ups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities. Safety, Compliance & Documentation
Work in full compliance with OSHA, site safety policies, and environmental regulations. Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports using CMMS systems. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance practices. Support reliability initiatives and spare parts management. Collaborate with third-party contractors and OEMs during maintenance activities. Required Experience & Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance role within RNG/biogas or wastewater treatment. Strong hands‑on experience with rotating equipment and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals. Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Willingness to work on‑site and participate in an on‑call or shift rotation if required. Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working at anaerobic digestion or gas upgrading facilities. Knowledge of compressors, blowers, vacuum systems, and gas handling equipment. Exposure to confined space entry, LOTO, and permit‑to‑work systems. Basic understanding of electrical or instrumentation systems (advantageous).
