Processing Technician, CV Join LifeNet Health as a Processing Technician to advance our mission of regenerative medicine. You will perform all aspects of tissue processing, preservation, and storage in an FDA regulated environment.

Location Virginia Beach, VA (Bayside)

Schedule Full-Time, Saturday-Monday (5:15PM-6:00AM)

Key Responsibilities

Tissue Processing: Review work orders or processing instructions/scheduling prior to initiating production, work with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed, perform all aspects of processing tissue (debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection, sizing, assessing) according to current procedures and protocols, assist supervisory team in production enhancement and improvement initiatives.

Packaging: Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products (confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, cryopreservation, etc.) according to current procedures and protocols.

Documentation & Data Entry: Document all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols.

Decontamination: Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols.

Minimum Requirements

High School or GED required.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Zero years of work experience required.

Preferred Experience/Skills

Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

One (1) year Tissue Processing Experience preferred.

Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Able to convey information verbally and in writing.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Computer Software, Databases.

Able to learn new skills, grafts, and adapt to developing product lines.

Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload.

Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Technical skills (preferred), General knowledge of anatomy, able to use surgical instrumentation and equipment.
