Equipment Maintenance Technician (Charlotte, NC) Pay:

$28.00/hour - $33.00/hour (commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications)

Shift:

2nd Shift: 3:00 pm-11:00 pm

or

3rd Shift: 11:00 pm-7:00 am

Main Accountabilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility assets such as pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, hydrant vehicles, etc.

Diagnose problems using test equipment, data analysis, equipment history, manufacturer specifications, industry-related standards and blueprints.

Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Maintain records relating to maintenance.

Able to meet the Station’s attendance standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Safety, Security and Compliance

Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work, in compliance with all company’s health and safety policy.

Fully participate in security protocols of the site, airport, and FAA.

Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety, or welfare reasons.

Inform their manager/supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health and safety.

Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

3-8 years experience as a mechanic in oil and gas, military, or industrial setting such as manufacturing.

Ability to critically think and troubleshoot using P&IDs, single line drawings, and schematics.

Must have solid knowledge and experience maintaining (inspecting and lubricating) and repairing centrifugal and positive displacement pumps ranging from 10-250 hp, valves (gate, ball, double block and bleed, hydraulic) ranging from various sizes (2-30”) and application, piping.

Working knowledge of how instrumentation and controls factor into the maintenance of industrial components and the ability to apply this knowledge in order to troubleshoot issues.

Extreme ownership of work and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

View safety as a critical component of maintenance and take initiative to immediately correct unsafe conditions.

Must be 18 years of age.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and required FAA, airport, and/or Customs identification, seals, and authorizations.

Must pass pre-employment color vision test, and drug screen.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Able to communicate clearly (in writing and verbally) in order to engage positively with other team members and document work.

Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.

Ability to perform basic math functions to include fractions and decimal points.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-based programs.
