This job is on site at Charlotte International Airport. 3‑8 years of experience as a mechanic in oil and gas, military, or industrial manufacturing setting.
Pay: $28.00 – $33.00/hour, commensurate with experience.
Shift
2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
3rd Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
Main Accountabilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain facility assets such as pumps, valves, vessels, hydrants, gauges, motors, lights, heaters, etc.
Use test equipment, data analysis, history, manufacturer specs, and blueprints.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain maintenance records.
Meet station attendance standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety, Security and Compliance
Maintain safety of self and others per company policy.
Participate in site, airport, and FAA security protocols.
Avoid reckless interference with company property.
Report hazards and unsafe conditions.
Follow health and safety rules and training.
Qualifications and Experience
3‑8 years experience as a mechanic in oil and gas, military, or industrial manufacturing.
Critical thinking and troubleshooting with P&IDs, single‑line drawings, and schematics.
Knowledge of inspecting, lubricating, and repairing centrifugal and positive displacement pumps (10‑250 hp) and valves (gate, ball, double block, bleed, hydraulic) and piping.
Understanding of instrumentation and controls integration.
Autonomous work with minimal supervision.
Commitment to safety and immediate correction of unsafe conditions.
Minimum age 18 years.
Valid driver’s license and required FAA, airport, customs authorizations.
Pass color vision test and drug screen.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Clear written and verbal communication.
Proficient in English.
Basic math skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
Physical Demands Stand, walk, use hands to handle gear, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear. Lift or move up to 75 lb. Vision: distance vision.
Work Environment Exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, work at heights, confined spaces, fumes, airborne particles, and weather conditions. Noise level can exceed 85 dB.
