POSITION HIGHLIGHTS This is a full-time, 37.5 hour per week position on first shift. Schedule is Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm. DESPP Fleet currently services over 2000 vehicles for the agency. We pride ourselves on ensuring vehicle safety as our #1 priority. While a good majority of our tasks include vehicle service and maintenance daily, we do also assist the department with unplanned associated tasks which generate a spontaneous and fulfilling work environment. Below are some examples of duties for this position: Maintaining and repairing pursuit rated police vehicles and associated department equipment to include trucks, trailers, military grade vehicles, snow mobiles, ATV's, UTV's , airport equipment, loaders, backhoe's, skid steers and boats; Diagnosing and repairing vehicle powertrains to include gasoline / hybrid engines and automatic transmissions; Diagnosing and repairing complex automobile electronic systems; Utilizing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) software; Parts sourcing and procurement; Planning and scheduling daily workload.
