Build fire sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites as a leadership role.
Job Description
Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
Installation, service, and trouble‑shouting of automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all related equipment
Lead and supervise fitters and helpers to meet project deadlines and exceed manager's goals
Complete assigned projects on time and keep under budget
Ensure projects are completed flawlessly
Work independently on projects
Use project drawings to accurately interpret installation requirements
Update daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings (asbuilts)
Communicate change orders to the fire sprinkler manager/PM for approval before commencement
Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, layout work area, and use appropriate equipment (tools, lifts, etc.)
Present weekly toolbox talks to employees
Provide a safe working environment for employees
Other duties as assigned

Safety first
Timely and complete submission of JSAs, toolbox talks, audit forms, etc.
Accurate incident and accident reporting
Accountability for all safety initiatives
Accountability for safe driving of company vehicles
Awareness and support of stop‑work authority
Complete all training requirements – safety, certifications, etc.
Submit accurate timesheets – job numbers/names, OT and travel pay, completed on time, support transition to electronic timesheet submission
Ensure all required documents are complete, accurate, professional, and signed
Proper inventory management – review, update, approve packing slips, timely material management
Proper maintenance and care of equipment – trucks, lifts, tools, etc.
Keep jobsites clean and organized
Production efficiency – awareness of budget vs. actual labor hours and proactive communication with superintendent
Support and ensure adherence to company SOPs – purchase orders, change orders, etc.
Timeliness – at job on time, attendance, communication with supervisor, paperwork
Ensure customer satisfaction and respond to customer satisfaction survey feedback improvement opportunities
Maintain quality control – reduce need for return trips and warranty work
Maintain a professional appearance
Communicate effectively and professionally within department and with internal/external customers
Teamwork – maintain positive interactions within your team, local office, etc.
Actively participate in required team meetings
Ability to work overtime, out of town or on‑call as needed
Knowledge
Knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems, including fabrication of related piping and various materials and joining methods
Understanding of fire protection installation requirements
Ability to properly read fire protection blueprints
Minimum education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
American Fire Sprinkler Association training program designed for fire sprinkler foreman (preferred)
Nicet II & III certification (preferred)
Work Experience
Minimum of 3 years as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman with team‑lead experience
Minimum of 3 years as a fire sprinkler apprentice/fitter (preferred)
Skills And Competencies
Ability to take direction from upper management
Accurate completion and maintenance of all paperwork
Maintain vehicle and tools per company policy
Valid state driver's license and good driving record
Self‑motivated, ambitious, interactive, communicative, detail‑oriented, organized
Knowledgeable with NFPA 13 rules and necessary codes
Professional communication with other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, general contractors, etc.
Positive teamwork and ability to be a team leader and mentor
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Comply with all company safety practices and safety handbook
Complete projects in a timely manner with highest quality of work and customer satisfaction
