Responsibilities The Plant Office & People Manager (POPM) is responsible for the day‑to‑day support for human resources related activities at the manufacturing plant. This position represents the “last mile” HR support for all location employees and plays a critical role in site staffing, connecting employees with benefits, ADS communications, HRIS administration, and employee engagement.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Facilitate onboarding for all new hires including new hire paperwork and review of all policies

Ensuring timely and accurate submission of timecards to the payroll team

Prepare HR reporting such as turnover and attendance

Conduct stay and exit interviews with employees

Work closely with HRBP to execute all HR and corporate initiatives

Act as recruitment liaison between HRBP and RPO to ensure a positive candidate experience during pre‑employment and onboarding processes

Partner closely with plant leadership on daily management initiatives related to people

Execute HR initiatives such as development plans for hourly workforce and oversee certification completion

Partner with Plant Manager to lead local community engagement activities

Champion and execute communication plans to ensure enterprise‑wide messages reach all employees

Communicate corporate initiatives timely with plant leadership

Coordinate onsite events related to recruitment, benefits, outside vendor visits, etc.

Complete verification of employment requests for current and former employees

Improve and maintain HRIS, support the company’s annual HR activities, and assist managers and employees with HR‑related matters and policy interpretation

Partner with plant leaders driving employee engagement, employee recognition, and retention initiatives

Assist leaders with internal investigations

Responsible for accurate HRIS data entry and reporting using ADP and E‑time Software

Administrative responsibility for HR, phones, mail, correspondence, etc.

Maintain workers’ comp files, leaves, post‑accident and random drug testing

Request pre‑employment background check, schedule physical and drug testing

Assist managers and supervisors with day‑to‑day HR issues

Oversee personnel administration (personnel files, vacation & attendance tracking, new employee processing and benefits administration)

Oversee request and set‑up of new vendors

Oversee PO management

Coordinate travel arrangements for plant visitors

Miscellaneous projects as required

Job Skills

Strong communication skills—both verbal and written

Strong computer skills—Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Functions well in a team environment

Ability to manage through conflict

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred

Equivalent HR experience

Preferred Experience

1‑3 years of HR experience—knowledge of benefits and payroll helpful

Advanced skill set in all Microsoft Office suite platforms

Physical Requirements

Typing, answering the phone, and using hand movements throughout the day—full use of hands required

Sitting at a desk for an extended period—able to sit in a chair for 8 hours at a time
