Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
My client, a respected global asset management firm is looking for an Accountant to join their expanding team. Our client is based out of midtown New York City, has a hybrid schedule, and offers tremendous growth within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Own monthly reporting, including balance sheet, income statement analytics, expense trends, and earnings attribution.
Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures for quarterly and annual reports.
Assist with quarter-end public earnings presentations and press releases.
Handle covenant reporting to lending counterparties.
Contribute to board deliverables and special projects.
Gain hands‑on experience in REIT compliance and preparation of tax workpapers.
Liaise with Operations, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Portfolio Management teams.
Coordinate with internal/external auditors for timely completion of audits and SOX 404 compliance.
Support the financial model used for earnings projections and dividends.
Analyze complex transactions and prepare technical accounting memos.
Qualifications
2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a publicly listed financial services company.
Bachelor's in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.
Active CPA license.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
