Job Summary
Accountable to Nurse Manager, under the direction of the Charge Nurse on duty, for all patient ECG monitoring and documentation requirements in addition to assisting with clerical duties of the units assigned.
Minimum Requirements
HSD/GED or 2 years equivalent work experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Basic Life Support certification (AHA)
Dysrhythmia Certification
Successful completion of basic dysrhythmia pre‑hire exam
Special Skills
Computer literate.
Ability to provide accurate, timely interpretation of cardiac rhythms by close observation of cardiac monitors to ensure patient safety.
Ability to communicate critical changes in the monitor pattern to the nursing staff to ensure timely attention is paid to the patient's conditions.
Ability to assist the nursing staff, as needed, to aid in the delivery of quality patient care.
Ability to problem solve.
Ability to reflect an attitude of willingness to work with all staff members toward unit goals.
Ability to accept supervision and guidance and work cooperatively with others.
Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Mercy Hospital Southwest is a 78‑bed facility and the only hospital located in the rapidly growing area west of Highway 99. Pay Range $24.00 – $29.90 per hour
