Position Summary
A well‑established law firm in New York City is seeking an AssociateAttorney to join its civil litigation practice. This role is ideal for an early‑career attorney looking to gain hands‑on litigation experience in a fast‑paced, supportive environment with direct exposure to cases and client interaction.
Candidates with any civil litigation background are encouraged to apply. The firm values strong fundamentals, initiative, and the ability to grow within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
Participate in depositions, hearings, and court appearances
Communicate with clients and opposing counsel under supervision
Support senior attorneys with case strategy and trial preparation
Qualifications
1–3 years of civil litigation experience (any practice area considered)
Admission to the New York State Bar (or pending admission)
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred (Not Required)
Prior courtroom or deposition experience
Experience handling cases independently with guidance
