Project Manager Commercial Construction | Operations

Position Overview A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Manager to join the Operations team. This role is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of assigned construction projects, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company standards, values, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and direct all activities related to assigned construction projects, providing leadership and support to the project team

Develop and manage

CPM schedules

to ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved

Ensure project execution aligns with design documents, construction schedules, and contractual requirements

Manage project budgets, including oversight of any self-performed work

De-scope subcontractors and prepare thorough, complete subcontract agreements

Maintain regular communication with subcontractors to ensure timely performance and coordination

Prepare and submit owner billings in an accurate and timely manner

Manage and execute owner change orders and schedule updates, ensuring proper documentation and approvals

Apply working knowledge of field operations, construction practices, and self-perform work to support project execution

Negotiate and communicate effectively with owners, inspectors, and public entities

Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and standards across all project functions

Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance and quality control procedures

Participate in project procurement and preconstruction efforts, including business development, estimating, and marketing support

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor

Experience with

Procore ,

Timberline ,

Microsoft Office , and

CPM scheduling software

preferred

Experience across one or more of the following project types preferred:

Industrial / Big-Box / Tilt-Up

Office and Corporate

Multi-Family

Federal / Municipal

Hospitality / Hotel / Casino

Sports / Recreation

Parking Structures

Tenant Improvements and Renovations

Willingness to learn company procedures and contribute as a collaborative team member

Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail

Self‑motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Ability and willingness to visit project sites regularly during construction, with frequency dependent on project size and complexity
