Overview

AEVEX Aerospace is seeking a warehouse material handler specializing in crating of finished products. This role is responsible for creating custom shipping crates, crate kits, and general palletizing of oversized equipment using established processes to ensure crates and pallets leave the facility in original condition. Essential Functions

Perform routine packing of various aviation equipment for domestic and international shipments. Apply appropriate shipping documentation and labels to outbound shipments. Follow packaging procedures to ensure the safety of all shipments; includes polishing and cleaning units, measuring boxes, weighing, cubing, and banding. Measure and cut wood and assemble crates for packing nonstandard/oversized items. Packs orders for domestic and international shipment as required for the transportation mode per company guidelines. Build boxing/crating as needed. Stock materials on assigned racks, shelves, or bins with verification of stocking documentation. Report inventory variances. Unpack, check quantity and condition of incoming parts and materials. Maintain material inventory including lumber, fasteners, and other shipping materials. Check products for defects, report and replace defective items before packing. Follow shipment receiving procedures to ensure correct items are delivered and notify Receiving Clerks. Ensure serial and batch numbers match the product and Sales Order. Coordinate yard space for inbound/outbound shipments and position units in proper storage areas. Operate forklift to transport shipments from storage to the crating area. Standard Essential Functions

Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis or as scheduled. Represent the company professionally with internal and external partners in alignment with company policies. Demonstrate AEVEX values and align daily actions with department goals and company culture. Qualifications and Competencies

Ability to complete multiple tasks/projects within deadlines with appropriate critical thinking and quality. Knowledge of safe operation of basic power tools (saws, drill motors, air compressors). Basic math skills. Basic carpentry skills and experience using hand and power tools as needed. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and detail orientation. Valid in-state driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Ability to operate a forklift and complete internal forklift training. Education / Certifications

High school diploma or GED. Experience

Two years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements
