Position Overview Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is looking for a Transportation Management to work in San Antonio, Texas. Join our team of outstanding professionals.

Responsibilities

Direct management and analytical support for transportation distribution, including HAZMAT, carrier selection/management, and tracking analysis.

Assist with customs clearance and door‑to‑door transportation of assets, providing full distribution support for DoD programs.

Contractors must be capable of learning all DoD transportation systems in support of ECMM transportation mission needs, including cross docks, Loaner Repair Return Center, Low Unit of Measure (LUM), HSMR, Theater Lead Agent for Medical Materiel and AF Reachback requirements.

Manage daily transportation activities; monitor and resolve issues, develop analytical methods for problem resolution.

Analyze logistical/transportation problems to determine scope and required actions.

Plan, develop, and implement internal procedures, methods, and techniques to determine appropriate mode of transportation services.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of field concepts and principles.

Lead and direct the work of other employees, having full authority for personnel decisions.

Qualifications

10 years of field experience in transportation management and consulting, utilizing Cargo Movement Operating System, handling Hazardous Material shipping, invoicing/billing interfaces, and supporting DoD program deployments worldwide.

Associate's degree.

Secret Clearance Required.
