Responsibilities Direct management and analytical support for transportation distribution, including HAZMAT, carrier selection/management, and tracking analysis in support of daily operations. Assist with customs clearance and door-to-door transportation of assets, providing comprehensive distribution and transportation support for DoD programs. Learn all DoD transportation systems in support of ECMM transportation mission needs, including cross docks, Loaner Repair Return Center, Low Unit of Measure (LUM), HSMR, Theater Lead Agent for Medical Materiel, and AF Reachback requirements. Manage daily transportation activities, monitor issues, and develop resolutions; create analytical methods for problem-solving. Analyze logistical and transportation problems to determine scope and appropriate actions. Develop and implement internal procedures, methods, and techniques to determine the appropriate mode of transportation services. Possess comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. Lead and direct the work of other employees, with full authority for personnel decisions.
Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation management and consulting support, including use of Cargo Movement Operating System, handling all forms of HAZMAT shipping systems, and invoice/billing interfaces for payment processing. Experience supporting DoD programs worldwide and learning additional transportation systems as needed. Associate's degree. Secret Clearance required.
