7:45am to 3:15pm Patient Population:
Medically Complex Adolescents Patient Volume:
5 to 6 students per day Responsibilities: Provide physical therapy-based services to assigned caseload in various settings, including, but not limited to, the PT gym, community, playground, home and/or therapeutic pool, consistent with students' documented therapy goals, including those defined in areas of instructional and therapeutic focus and/or Individualized Education Program (IEP). Develop and implement safe and appropriate therapeutic interventions Modify treatment program to ensure achieving students reach maximal capabilities as a result of ongoing evaluation and monitoring of student progress. Evaluate, document, and monitor provision of service and student progress in a timely manner Provide children with adaptive equipment, lower extremity splints or orthotics for short- and long-term use, as appropriate Conduct regular checks to ensure equipment fits well and is in good working condition. Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy NYS Physical Therapist (PT) license Solid assessment and documentation skills Desired Skills: Master's Degree in Physical Therapy DPT from an APTA-recognized program Pediatric Clinical Specialist certification Experience with Brain-based Disorders Experience with Aquatic Therapy
