Finances Department Overview
This role will be a part of TD's U.S. Recovery and Resolution Planning team. Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) is an enterprise-wide function that ensures TD is prepared to address severe financial stress conditions and oversees financial crisis management. The RRP team coordinates and maintains TD's U.S. Recovery and Resolution Plans and other regulatory submissions as required under applicable regulations. Job Description
The Recovery and Resolution Planning Manager leads work streams within the RRP function, including development of required outputs, liaison with relevant stakeholders, briefings to senior management and production of associated reporting. Depth & Scope
Highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge in a complex field and related areas Integrates enterprise sub-function or business line strategy to develop cross-functional solutions Interprets internal/external business challenges and industry environment; recommends actions and best practices Develops, maintains, enhances processes, reports, procedures, and control frameworks Manages interpretation of new regulatory guidance and ensures regulatory expectations are met within owned work streams Executes control testing and leads testing exercises to support crisis capabilities and resolvability Develops specific sections of recovery and resolution plans Coordinates and leads meetings; acts as a technical expert Manages end-to-end functional programs; solves complex problems and develops new solutions Uses analytical thought to identify solutions; influences stakeholders Operates under policies and industry standards Communicates complex concepts and gains alignment with senior stakeholders Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree required 7+ years of experience Preferred Qualifications
7+ years in financial contingency planning, liquidity/capital management, regulatory, risk, legal or compliance in a financial institution 3+ years in regulatory compliance and conducting change impact assessments Knowledge of regulatory requirements from Federal Reserve, FDIC and OCC Experience implementing programs to satisfy regulatory requirements with stakeholders Experience with the WDesk/Workiva platform Experience working across a matrixed organization Excellent analytical, risk assessment and investigative skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Ability to see the big picture and anticipate outcomes Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities Ability to navigate conflicting viewpoints and propose creative solutions Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, enhances processes, reports, procedures, and control frameworks Interprets regulatory guidance and operationalizes it for responsible areas; ensures compliance Executes control testing and leads testing exercises for crisis capabilities Develops sections of recovery and resolution plans Facilitates working groups and manages relationships Contributes to RRP documents and artifacts Provides project management and administrative support Co-ordinates and leads meetings as required Accountabilities
Adheres to enterprise frameworks and maintains confidentiality Ensures programs meet internal/external requirements and align with priorities Maintains risk management culture and governance for tests and regulatory reports Engages with cross-functional stakeholders and regulators as needed Maintains awareness of regulatory developments and impacts Employee/Team Accountabilities
Participates as a team member; supports service quality and communication Keeps current on trends and developments; grows knowledge of business and tools Participates in performance management and knowledge transfer Leads and develops relationships with internal/external partners Supports diversity and acts as a brand ambassador Physical Requirements
