Position Specifics The Africana Research Center (ARC) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a

Postdoctoral Scholar .

The postdoc fellow must be in residence at Penn State’s University Park campus for the duration of the appointment. During residency, scholars conduct research in any aspect of African, African American, and/or Diaspora Studies. The scholar will have no teaching or administrative responsibilities, but will attend workshops, professional development sessions, and other relevant events, and will be expected to take an active part in Penn State’s community of researchers. The ARC provides mentorship and professional development for a one-year term, with the possibility of renewal for a second year.

A

Ph.D.

in African American Studies, African Diasporic Studies, or a related field is required by the appointment date.
