Overview
EXPECTATIONS AND NATURE OF THE POSITION: This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of home athletic events to ensure they run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with conference, regional, and national regulations. This role manages event logistics—including scheduling, facility setup, officials, scorekeeping, ticketing, and game-day staff—and serves as the primary game-day contact for visiting teams, officials, and fans. The Games Manager works closely with coaches, the athletic trainer and athletic administration, and campus services to provide a positive experience for student-athletes and spectators, maintain high standards of sportsmanship and customer service, and ensure that events represent the college with professionalism and integrity. Primary duties and responsibilities
Attends all home contests to coordinate games management, including checking in on:
Concessions, Tickets, Bookstore, Special groups in attendance Confirming officials Locker rooms for opponents and officials Setting up and confirming games workers (including student workers)
Table workers, stats workers, replay, announcer and music, ball shaggers
Setting up and paying workers thru Arbitor or through requisition Coordinating with the streaming personnel, media requests, radio broadcasting
Coordinate with game day promotions, contests and giveaways within the department or with student life. Coordinates special events and special group attendance. Coordinates with Sodexo for concessions. Coordinates with the Athletic Director for soccer match facilities (SCSD#1 or SCSD#2). Sets up the gym for contests held in the gym, and the soccer arena for matches held off-site, coordinating with the Athletic Trainer on training needs and replay.
