Travel Cable Technician

We are accepting applications for Travel Technicians to work at various locations across the United States. This job is 100% travel and will involve installing low voltage wiring and equipment such as IP cameras, wireless access points, routers, switches, etc. Qualified candidates should expect to be on the road anywhere from 2–8 months at a time. We are seeking a self‑starter who can work well with a partner 6 days a week.
Responsibilities
Pull and terminate low voltage cable.
Install network equipment within commercial settings.
Follow instructions and code when pulling cable.
Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
Install cable support structures such as J‑hooks, cable racks, and inner duct.
Conduct tests to ensure newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
Adhere to all required project safety requirements set forth by the client, their customers, or OSHA.
Work hours: 7 pm–7 am, 5 days a week.
Requirements
Experience as a Data Cable Technician.
Availability for extensive travel nationwide.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more multiple times per shift.
Ability to work in cramped spaces.
Will travel to Lowell, AR for new‑hire orientation.
100 % travel across the USA.
Knowledge of operating a scissor lift and working at heights.
Familiarity with hand tools: screwdriver (standard & Phillips), snips, punchdown (impact), toner & probe, pliers, adjustable wrenches, joint pliers, and lineman pliers.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the past three years.
Compliance with PPE requirements; company provides hard hat, vest, safety glasses (you must supply steel‑toed boots).
Pay & Benefits Hourly rate: $19.00–$22.00 per hour.
Per‑diem allowance: $125 per day for food and lodging.
Company vehicle provided (travelling with a partner).
