FirstLight Home Care provides high-quality in‑home care to seniors and adults, promoting independence and dignity. We are expanding our team and seek dedicated Per Diem Caregivers.
Position Summary As a Per Diem Caregiver, you will provide non‑medical, in‑home support and companionship to elderly clients, offering flexibility for caregivers who balance schedules.
What You’ll Do
Assist with personal care tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and general household organization
Provide medication reminders following the care plan
Accompany clients to appointments or errands (as needed)
Observe and promptly report any changes in condition to the Care Coordinator
Document care provided clearly and accurately
What We’re Looking For
At least 6 months of caregiving experience (professional or family care accepted)
A compassionate, dependable, and patient personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow individualized care plans
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
CNA/HHA certification a plus, but not required
Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Per diem with flexible shifts—days, evenings, weekends, and overnights. Opportunities for additional hours based on client needs and your availability.
