Registered Nurse Supervisor - Full Time - Pay in Lieu of Benefits - $42 + shift diff Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs, and CNAs on designated nursing units during the assigned shift, ensuring care is rendered according to the resident’s plan of care, facility policies, procedures, and guidelines. Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments, medications, interventions, communications, and other resident care activities according to care plans and physician orders. Document residents’ responses to care in accordance with applicable policies and regulations. Communicate with physicians, Director of Nursing Services, and other staff regarding resident status, new admissions, and shift activities. Report residents’ condition and shift occurrences to oncoming staff. Make rounds with physicians as necessary and document care and treatment as indicated. Review and transcribe physician orders according to policy and ensure orders are executed. Meet with residents and/or family members as necessary and report problem areas to the Supervisor. Complete medication pass audits and count medications as assigned; report discrepancies to the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing. Complete forms, communication records, and reports as required. Coordinate resident activities with other staff and departments; inform staff of new resident admissions. Report discrepancies, problems, and issues regarding resident care to the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing. Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor. Education and Experience

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Alabama. One (1) year of experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred. Specific Requirements

Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in this state. Must possess and maintain current CPR certification. Must possess computer skills and demonstrate the ability to become proficient with appropriate software. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action. Physical Requirements for Essential Job Functions

Must be able to move about intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to meet job requirements. Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds using proper body mechanics and assistance. Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Seniority level
