Position Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator (Full Time)
Charter College, a career college with locations across the U.S. We operate a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at our Salt Lake Campus.
Summary We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Clinical Coordinator to supervise all clinical activities, support instruction, and drive curriculum development for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. The Coordinator serves in the absence of the Program Director.
Responsibilities
Coordinate clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the Program Director.
Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of clinical experiences for students.
Provide clinical instruction and document the evaluation and progression of clinical performance.
Assist students in identifying weaknesses and correcting performance.
Demonstrate alternative methods of obtaining scans due to patient condition.
Assist with development of clinical rotations.
Maintain clinical records.
Assist the Program Director with program management.
Manage the program in the absence of the Program Director.
Conduct clinical observations as assigned.
Establish rapport with affiliates and handle contracts.
Coordinate clinical assignment availability with agencies and affiliates.
Orient all new clinical faculty.
Provide supervisory visits to clinical sites.
Obtain evaluations of students by site managers and instructors.
Monitor student attendance and retention.
Communicate with Lead Instructor or Program Director on student-related issues.
Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise.
Act as an instructor in classroom, lab, or clinical sessions when needed.
Stay aware of educational environment and external influences.
Ensure students follow catalog guidelines in the clinical setting.
Attend mandatory meetings.
Serve on committees, as assigned.
Perform other duties as required.
Work off‑site as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate degree in Sonography (preferred); bachelor's degree (preferred).
Required: ABD and OB/Gyn RDMS or ARRT(s)/RT(s).
Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and educational theories.
Preferred: student guidance experience.
Minimum two years clinical experience as a registered Sonographer.
Maintain an RDMS certification.
Must live within driving distance of the campus.
Compensation
Full‑time salaried exempt position.
$75,000 – $89,550.56 annually (dependent on experience, knowledge, education).
