RN New Grad Resident - CSICU and Coronary Care Unit
Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is a Magnet Hospital dedicated to delivering world‑class cardiovascular care. As a new graduate RN in the Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU), you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to care for pre‑ and post‑operative cardiac surgery patients, interventional cardiology patients, and general medical/surgical ICU overflow patients.
Responsibilities
Participate in a one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program with tailored online modules, simulation lab, and hands‑on training.
Provide direct nursing care, support patients, families, and visitors, and maintain high‑quality documentation in the electronic medical record.
Establish and revise patient care priorities based on acuity, patient preference, and available resources.
Respond to patient risk indicators and initiate corrective actions to reduce or prevent adverse events.
Seek supervision, consultation, or assistance when needed to ensure safe, independent practice.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN).
Current RN license in the state of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire or within one year of employment.
New grad or less than one year of RN experience, or RN moving from non‑inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year of acute direct patient care experience.
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
Full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
Standing and walking for extended periods.
Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60
