Job Description This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. The Spray Equipment Repairer and Coordinator works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about spray equipment products and repairs, and recommend the right solutions. They promptly resolve any customer concerns, ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay up-to-date with product features, maintain high quality and visual standards, and consistently meet the store’s sales goals.
Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company requires a criminal history review to protect the safety of its customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
The selected individual will be expected to work at store # 721186, located at: 1 Dalfanso Road, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs on all types of spray equipment (e.g., airless, conventional, electrostatic, pressure washers) at the store or at customers' job sites
Repair branch tinting and mixing equipment
Educate other employees and customers on spray equipment
Maintain inventory levels of spray parts and locate out-of-stock parts, as necessary
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
18 years of age or older
Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Operate material handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.) safely once trained, with or without reasonable accommodation
If internal to Sherwin-Williams, at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
If internal to Sherwin-Williams, completion of all required HR Cloud eLearning courses for your current position
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior work experience in retail or customer service
Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints
Good written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience with repairing spray equipment
High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g., GED)
Valid driver’s license
Ability to speak more than one language: preferably Spanish
