Administrative Assistant
New Gen Builders
Location: Houston, TX (On-Site with Field Visits)
Base Pay Range $12.00/hr - $15.00/hr

This role is perfect for someone who loves spreadsheets, tracking details, and supporting a team so they can focus on execution in the field. You’ll work closely with the Construction Project Manager and leadership to keep finances, documents, and communication on track.
Key Responsibilities
Handle weekly payroll for subcontractors (collect time, verify, and prepare for processing).
Reconcile project expenses, invoices, and receipts against budgets.
Maintain and update trackers: budgets, schedules, bills, bids, and other project‑related logs.
Support the Construction Project Manager with bids, selections, vendor communication, and follow‑up.
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and subcontractors via email and phone as needed.
File and organize permits, contracts, insurance certificates, lien releases, and other documents.
Keep digital folders and shared drives clean, organized, and easy to navigate.
Qualifications
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
Professional written and verbal communication.
Experience with payroll, billing, or bookkeeping is a plus.
Fast learner with good problem‑solving skills.
Construction or real estate experience is a plus.
Experience with QuickBooks, Buildertrend, Procore, or similar tools is a plus.
Compensation
Full‑time structure (40 hrs a week, 9‑5)
Pay: $12 to $15 per hour USD, depending on experience and skill set.
