The Opportunity Location: Lake Bluff, IL (GES – Global Engineering Services).
This position works out of Abbott Lake County and supports manufacturing and research environments.
The role requires adherence to quality and regulatory requirements (GMP, SOP, DEA, OSHA, DEP, and Abbott standards).
Cleaning is performed daily in production laboratories, manufacturing support laboratories, research laboratories, and common support areas such as lavatories, office areas, and break rooms.
What You’ll Work On
Perform daily housekeeping tasks based on specific area needs
Implement cross‑contamination cleaning methods in areas with radioactive, biohazardous, or microbial‑controlled materials
Prepare radioactive and biohazard housekeeping equipment for autoclaving or disposal
Operate handheld electronic documentation units to complete GMP documentation logs, work orders, training documents, and preventive maintenance work orders
Prepare and cleaning solutions according to GMP regulated instructions
Conduct microbial control cleaning of walls, ceilings, and floors following GMP cleaning frequencies and guidelines
Perform preventive maintenance on housekeeping equipment (battery maintenance, squeegee adjustments, air pressure checks, filter checks)
Support recycling programs for glass, paper,ugate, and plastic
Operate floor scrubbers, sweepers, burnishers, and related equipment
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Comprehension of written corporate quality documents, operating procedures, and safety guidelines
Accurate and legible documentation in compliance with GMP when recording work performed (room attestations, work orders, cleaning logs)
Computer proficiency to complete required compliance/technical training, download daily work instructions to a handheld computer, and sync data to the CMMS for GMP review and archiving

Salary The base pay for this position is $15.45 – $29.00 per hour. Pay may vary by location.
