Rye Country Day School is seeking a full-time Upper School Mathematics Teacher to join the faculty beginning in August 2026. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, PreK-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Responsibilities
Teach four Upper School sections of Mathematics
Collaborate with colleagues to develop a dynamic curriculum that fosters a love of math and builds students' critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills
Develop daily lessons that produce a high level of student engagement in a student-centered environment
Grade student assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback of their work
Regularly write reports that evaluate student performance and demonstrate knowledge of students' experiences
Participate in faculty and departmental meetings, field trips, special activities, and rotational duties
Seek out and participate in professional growth opportunities embracing a growth mindset
Serve as advisor to a group of Upper School students
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education required
3-5 years of experience teaching in an Upper School setting
A well-developed sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Excitement for working with Upper School students
Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills
Ability to support the extra-curricular life of the school
Genuine excitement for and ability to work with students, employees, and families

Salary range: $80,000-$125,000 based on relevant experience.
