Position Type: Support Staff/ Teacher Assistant Date Posted: 1/5/2026 Location: Benjamin Middle School District: Benjamin D25 Statement of approval issued by the Illinois State Certification Board. Responsibilities
Assists in implementing the modifications and accommodations outlined in a student's IEP. Assists with data collection aligned with a student’s IEP. Assists with classroom activities, reinforces lessons, and applies any behavioral management system under the direction of the Case Manager in collaboration with the classroom teacher. Assists with individualized program materials. Participates in multidisciplinary staffing when requested by the Case Manager or Director of Student Services Assists with small groups of children. Participates in appropriate staff development programs. Supervises the playground, bus activities, lunchroom, and assists students with extra needs as necessary to a student’s IEP. Performs other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned. Teaching Assistant Details

Awareness and ability to work with a group of students with varied disabilities rather than a single disability. Statement of approval issued by the Illinois State Certification Board. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Evaluation
