The primary purpose of this position is to support daily clinic activities, including handling calls, scheduling appointments, patient registration, responding to inquiries, and billing.
Responsibilities
Greets patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
Schedules, cancels, and confirms appointments according to department criteria.
Registers patients accurately.
Answers phone calls and takes accurate messages.
Maintains an accurate filing system and ensures timely scanning of lab slips and x‑ray reports.
Assists with billing procedures and forms.
Develops and maintains good customer relations.
Qualifications Required
Two (2) years of progressive clerical experience, including receptionist and scheduling duties.
Proficient with MS Office and electronic registration/medical record systems.
Preferred
Ability to multi‑task and present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, or French).
High school diploma or GED.
Associate degree.
Experience in a medical office setting, including billing.

Compensation In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is TC1550: Probationary Rate $22.56 - Job Rate $23.06 - Two‑Year Rate $23.75 per hour. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
