Hoplite Group is seeking a Social Media Manager to support contracted services for the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Public Affairs Directorate (CCPA). This contract will include executing communication strategies and ensuring accurate, timely information to U.S. and regional audiences. It will employ digital tools to monitor, collect, translate, and analyze traditional and social media across CENTCOM’s 21‑nation area of responsibility, supporting senior leader decision‑making, correcting misinformation, and aiding counter‑propaganda efforts. Services will include strategic communication planning, media engagement, crisis response, training, and quality assurance.
Location:
Primary: CENTCOM HQ, MacDill AFB; other anticipated work locations include TBD travel locations within CONUS, or at locations within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Travel:
May be required to support CENTCOM exercises held in the CONUS and OCONUS, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Israel. Travel can include both inside and outside of the CENTCOM AOR.

Responsibilities
Plan and manage CCPA’s English and foreign‑language social media and website platforms, ensuring creative design and technical maintenance.
Oversee Regional Media Specialists in the planning, development, coordination, and synchronization of regional and language‑specific communication plans.
Conduct statistical analysis of social media and website platforms, tracking viewership, followership, and engagement trends by URLs, regions, and other factors to provide CCPA leadership with trend analysis relevant to the CENTCOM AOR.
Plan, develop, coordinate, synchronize, and produce frequent posts for CCPA’s social media and website platforms, especially during crisis events or at the request of senior CENTCOM leadership.
Maintain security compliance for all CCPA social media and website platforms, ensuring adherence to CENTCOM and DoD security requirements and policies.
Support emergent 24/7 surge requirements outside normal working hours during crises, unforeseen events, or as directed by CCPA leadership.
Update CCPA’s English‑language social media and website platforms regularly.
Track social media aliases of influential individuals and organizations within CENTCOM‑related information environments, recommend engagement, and maintain a daily updated database of articles and talking points in OneNote.
Provide monthly written reports with insights and best practices regarding CENTCOM‑related digital media platform usage, including executive‑level summaries and recommendations on timing, platforms, and content prioritization.
Develop and deliver a three‑week digital media publication plan, by platform and by language, in coordination with Regional Media Specialists.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing and executing social media strategies and website content for large organizations, preferably within government, military, or international contexts.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and digital content management systems.
Demonstrated ability to conduct statistical analysis of digital platforms, providing insights on viewership, followership, engagement, and regional trends.
Experience developing and implementing digital media publication plans, including multi‑platform, multilingual strategies.
Familiarity with CENTCOM’s mission and the dynamics of the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Knowledge of DoD and CENTCOM policies, including social media security and compliance requirements.
Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
Strong leadership and coordination skills, with experience overseeing regional or language‑specific communication teams or specialists.
Ability to track and analyze activity from influential individuals and organizations across digital platforms and provide actionable recommendations.
Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, OneNote, social media scheduling software, and analytics dashboards.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce high‑quality reports, summaries, and briefings for senior leadership.
Flexibility to support 24/7 surge operations during crises or unforeseen events as directed by CCPA leadership.
Certifications, Training & Education
Top Secret/Secure Classified Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance – Required.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, International Relations, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
