The Amelia Island Club is a premier, family‑oriented private club located on the southern tip of Amelia Island, Florida.

It sits on a 1,300‑acre plantation bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.

The club features two clubhouses: a 25,000‑sq‑ft Ocean clubhouse and a Long Point clubhouse that houses a Tom Fazio‑designed golf course and a professional Golf Pro Shop.

Members also have access to tennis courts, pickleball courts, a fitness center, and two golf courses (Long Point and Oak Marsh) owned or operated by Omni Hotels & Resorts. About the Role

The Amelia Island Club is seeking a PGA/LPGA professional to serve as

Director of Golf .

The director will be the club’s “golf ambassador,” responsible for overseeing all golf operations, from course maintenance to the golf shop and teaching program.

The role requires an engaging, outgoing presence, strong leadership, and the ability to maintain a high‑level member experience. Responsibilities

Oversee the performance of all golf operations and related services, including the golf shop, range, and cart operations. Supervise, hire, train, and retain a high‑performance golf team, including the Head Golf Professional. Develop and promote group‑play initiatives and other member‑focused activities. Manage operating and capital budgets, daily financial reports, and inventory control. Plan, promote, and execute club‑based and outside tournaments. Maintain compliance with club rules and regulations and enforce them through the pro shop staff. Collaborate with the General Manager/COO, Golf Course Superintendent, and other department heads to deliver an exceptional golf experience. Mentor junior and new‑member golf programs and oversee instructional curriculum. Candidate Qualifications

5+ years as a Director of Golf or Head Professional at a recognized golf club. PGA or LPGA professional status with an outgoing, member‑focused personality. Strong leadership, communication, and service‑culture skills. Experience managing all facets of golf operations, including budgeting, inventory, and event management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tournament software. High level of golf playing ability and a strong community network. Educational and Certification Qualifications

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Golf Management. A PGA Class “A” Certification status is highly desirable. Salary & Benefits
